About this class
What we do: We work intensively on linocut printing technology. Linocut is a high-pressure process that anyone can learn. We start with a pencil drawing, transfer the drawing to a linoleum board, cut out the non-printable parts and print on site with a press and handprint.
What you take with you: You take home your finished prints, your plate, drawings and the skills to make linoleum prints yourself.
All materials are provided.
Suitable for beginners and advanced users.
The workshop takes place in our Franz&Frida studio in Leipzig.

What you’ll do in the class
In the first part of our workshop, we start with a brief introduction and start drawing our ideas for printing on paper. The finished design is checked for feasibility and transferred to the printing plate using blue paper - now it is being diligently cut.
In the second part, we get into printing. With a handprint and press, different colors and lots of trial and error, your work of art comes alive.
All works can be picked up well packaged on the same day - or picked up later, provided they are not yet dry enough for transport.
Who is the class suitable for?
Suitable for everyone over 14 years of age.
